#00 Kundalini-Activation – why I am writing about it

Kundalini Activation, Kundalini Experience, Altered States of Consciousness, Personal Development

Kundalini Activation – a personal introduction

As a Kundalini facilitator, I encounter the topic of Kundalini activation on many different levels – in my work, in conversations with others, and repeatedly within my own inner processes. Many of us – myself included – approach this topic with openness and curiosity, driven by a desire for inner growth and a deeper understanding of consciousness.

For this reason, it is important to me to approach this subject in a reflected and responsible way – not to provide answers or explain experiences, but to offer a framework in which different perspectives can coexist and experiences can be more clearly situated.

My perspective

My perspective is shaped by several layers: my work as a facilitator, my own transformational and consciousness-related processes, and my growing interest in psychology, consciousness studies, and personal development.

For me, these layers do not contradict one another, as long as they are clearly distinguished and consciously contextualized.

An open view on experience

In my engagement with Kundalini activation, it is especially important to approach the topic with openness and discernment. Many of the experiences people report in this context are real, deeply felt, and often difficult to put into words. They can be intense without being clearly definable or easily categorized.

At the same time, psychological research shows that such experiences are interpreted and lived very differently and do not follow a fixed or uniform pattern (cf. Corneille & Luke – Spontaneous Spiritual and Kundalini Awakenings; Maxwell & Katyal – Kundalini-related Experiences).

It is precisely this diversity that, in my view, calls for space for differentiated reflection rather than quick conclusions.

Contextualizing instead of explaining

Rather than offering explanations, I aim to contextualize experiences, perceptions, and inner processes in a clear and transparent way – based on personal observation and supported by psychological and scientific perspectives that allow for a grounded yet nuanced understanding.

This blog post – as well as the texts that follow – is intended to be informative and reflective, not an instruction, a promise of healing, or a substitute for medical, psychotherapeutic, or other professional support. Experiences related to altered states of consciousness are individual, complex, and not always clearly classifiable. For that reason, they require care, context, and differentiation.

An important note

This blog post – and the texts that follow – is explicitly meant to be informative and reflective. It does not serve as guidance, a healing promise, or a replacement for medical, psychotherapeutic, or professional care.

Experiences connected to altered states of consciousness are individual and multifaceted, and they cannot always be clearly categorized. Precisely for this reason, they call for attentiveness, context, and careful differentiation.

What comes next?

This text is not the fixed starting point of a long-term blog series, but rather a conscious pause and point of reflection. Kundalini activation has become an important theme in my life over the recent year and continues to accompany me both in my work and in personal processes. That is why I am writing about it – without making it the central focus of my blog.

I generally write situationally about different topics, depending on what is currently present, relevant, or meaningful to explore. These texts on Kundalini activation arise from that same inner impulse – not from an attempt to present a complete picture or to systematically “work through” the topic.

The three planned parts

Because Kundalini activation is a complex and sensitive subject, and because I want to give it appropriate space, I will approach it in three self-contained parts:

#01 My personal path toward Kundalini activation

How I first came into contact with the topic and how I understand my own experiences today.

#02 What Kundalini activation means – and what is actually experienced

An exploration of the concept as well as commonly reported physical, emotional, and psychological phenomena, as described in current research(Corneille & Luke – Spontaneous Spiritual and Kundalini Awakenings; Maxwell & Katyal – Kundalini-related Experiences).

#03 Opportunities and challenges of such processes

Potential benefits, as well as aspects that require attention, grounding, and integration.

These texts are not intended as a closed series, but as open, reflective spaces for thought, offering orientation without prescribing conclusions.

Part #01 of this exploration focuses on my personal path. In future texts, I will gradually deepen the topic – from conceptual understanding to potential opportunities and challenges of such processes.

If you would like to follow this unfolding exploration, I invite you to subscribe to my newsletter.
